While part of me wants to be in UGANDA...

the other part is loving this beautiful Louisiana weather!

guess what...

after a very BUSY week...we were informed today that there is NO SCHOOL tomorrow, due to slight snow in the area!
I am filled with JOY.
and on top of it all, there are FREE pancakes at church tonight.
i mean really...can it get any better than this (besides the freezing cold temperatures)?

loss of wisdom

WOW...I am very behind on my blogging!

I have been lying on the couch for 3 days (thanks to the loss of my wisdom teeth)

and i am just now blogging. CRAZY. this is prime blogging time!

getting my wisdom teeth out has been bittersweet.

besides the swollen chipmunk cheeks, and a bit of pain, 

i have really enjoyed relaxing, and doing exactly NOTHING! 

truly a blessing in disguise

it is really nice especially after a busy holiday season!

i absolutely can't believe Christmas has come and gone and it is already 2011.

i spent some time with matthew's family on New Years,

 and his aunt asked me

what I am looking forward to in 2011. it got me thinking...

1. no more teenage years. 20th birthday is right around the corner (January 18th)
2. moving.
3. weddings galore! i am so excited about this one. i absolutely love weddings and I can't wait to celebrate this special time with my friends.
4. traveling with friends.  (syd...we need to plan)
5. possibly a summer mission trip???
6. finishing sophomore year. moving into JUNIOR year. junior sounds so old. (i like it)
7. Honeysuckle --> The must-have hue for 2011 is honeysuckle, a sort of orangey-reddish-pink. FUN.
8. Flowers. According to Carson Kressley.
9. blogging more. :)
10. GROWING in the Lord and following the path HE has made for me.

i am so excited for this new year.

i hope you are too.
